Deon Milardo founded Healing Haven Psychiatry LLC in November 2024 with a heartfelt mission: to create a compassionate, client-centered space where individuals of all ages feel supported, understood, and empowered in their mental health journey.

Deon’s path into nursing was guided by both purpose and passion. He began his education at Gateway Community College and continued his academic journey through the University of Bridgeport and Goodwin University, where he earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health. He is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Throughout his career, Deon has gained extensive experience across a wide range of clinical settings, including Intensive Care, Inpatient Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, Crisis Management, and Medical-Surgical care. These diverse experiences have shaped his holistic perspective and deepened his understanding of the many factors that influence mental wellness.

Deon provides care for children (ages 6 and older), adolescents, and adults, offering both medication management and psychotherapy. His approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and guided by empathy, respect, and genuine connection. Whether supporting a child through behavioral challenges or helping an adult navigate more complex mental health concerns, Deon is committed to building strong, trusting therapeutic relationships.

At the heart of his work is a simple belief: everyone deserves to feel heard, supported, and cared for.
